Surviving cancer

While news of a can­cer diag­no­sis is still dev­as­tat­ing, sur­vival rates are improv­ing due to a bet­ter under­stand­ing of the dis­ease and huge advances in treat­ment. How­ev­er, there remains huge vari­a­tion in sur­vival between can­cer types and in dif­fer­ent coun­tries around the world. And the UK has some way to go to hit Can­cer Research UK’s tar­get of 75% of peo­ple sur­viv­ing can­cer for at least 10 years by 2034.
