The UK’s growing struggle with mental ill-health

The nation’s men­tal well­be­ing has been on the decline in recent years. The con­sen­sus is that too many peo­ple — from work­ers report­ing job-relat­ed burnout to patients seek­ing treat­ment for life-threat­en­ing dis­or­ders — aren’t get­ting all the sup­port they need. And, while the NHS’s expen­di­ture on men­tal health ser­vices is ris­ing, the eco­nom­ic costs are grow­ing too
